Mr. Fairchild, your indictment of The Beach is disappointing and concerning to us. We must disagree with your statement regarding the attention and focus we devote to safety issues as they are a priority we never compromise. With regard to your criticisms of our lack of concern for the beauty and landscape of our park this year, we assure you we see every flaw more clearly than do you. The reality is this very challenging business season has demanded we make some tough choices. In planning for this season, we were deeply concnerned with the impact economy may have on our business. We held certain cosmetic spending tight until we could gage that impact. In early season, plans made re economic impact were working well. Unfortunately, on June 26, the first of many weather disasters occurred. High winds and 5 inches of rain damaged our pools causing a 1-day closing. To date, a rainfall total of 17.8 inches has washed away our landscape many times, but ensured our trees are lush and beautiful. In addition to record rainfall, the National Weather Service now categorizes July as the coldest on record for Cincinnati with an average temperature of 70.1 degrees - 6.2 degrees below normal! We appreciate your concern for the future and viability of our business, and appreciate that according to our records you did renew your 2010 season passes. We will continue to work hard to ensure The Beach remains a safe and fun family entertainment option. Your patronage, and that of all our guests, is important to us, and to the future of The Beach. We thank you and hope you continue to give us the opportunity to entertain you.

Actually, that is who we are dealing with for my 3 grandchildrens monument. Rick has designed a stone that we love, but there has been problem after problem. Next week will be a year since we signed a contract for 150 days and we still don't have a good monument. I adore the Spongebob design you have ordered, but recommend that you don't pay in full until after you have viewed the monument. I'm sorry if I sound negative, but this is such a touchy thing and it's so important that it be right, as I'm sure is the case with you. Anyway, I am confident that it will be corrected, because we still have a huge portion that we will not pay until it is up and correct. If we had paid them in full, I'm not so sure I would be as confident.

As his memory is very fresh in your mind, I would take the time to write down everything that you remember. (funny stories, favorites, sayings, etc.) It will help you now, and especially later when little details get blurred. I am 18 mos. into the loss of 3 young grandchildren and I am already glad that I spent the first couple of months writing notes and stories and reminders. I pray for your family and think that maybe Camden will be friends with my grandson Braden.

My guess is a greyhound. It's not necessarily grey and doesn't look like a hound...

Certainly they're much stronger and faster than they look as well.

Also they usually do very well as show dogs.

And the city? Bismarck, he had a very nice greyhound.
