I am so ready to have some friends and family over to hang out by a small fire, have a few beers and have some good times.
This set of headstones amaze me at how withered and torn they are, keep standing. It speaks so many emotions I think. We will all be history one day.
It was gloomy so I decided to do some shooting around the house. This is an abstract look at a decorative star we have decorating our home.
One year ago today was the worst day of my life. My 5 year old son Camden Fairchild passed away. He is now our guardian angel and will forever be missed.
We all miss you so much Camden. You smile will shine through eternity!
Love Daddy
This headstone caught my eye while checking out and older cemetery here in Clarksville Ohio. Eliza left this world at a far too young of an age.
Caught this guy at the famous Beale Street. I am sure it has something to do with the Memphis Grizzlies.
This lamp was sitting out in the elements at the Fort Ancient Trading post. Just seemed so out of place in the middle of the woods.
I just loved, loved, loved, the texture and clarity of this one. Really enjoyed seeing it in Black & White.
We stopped at a small park in Cincinnati a while back and I decided to play with my Lensbaby Fisheye some more.
Pee Wee's Saloon was the favorite meeting spot for Memphis musicians in the early 20th Century W. C. Handy used the cigar counter to write out copies of the Beale Street blues for his band members. One of those songs, written for the 1909 political campaign was first named "Mr. Crump," for the Memphis mayor and political boss. Later with the new lyrics it became famous as "The Memphis Blues"
This guy just seems out of place. He seems to be enjoying himself, even if he has no expression. What he does have are beads!
This is the beer you can get down here on Beale. It's $5 and you can just order it from a window on the street at pretty much every bar.
This guy had some serious emotion when playing his sax at the W.C. Handy club. I had a great time photographing him, he kept posing for me.
The "Handy" is such a small place. On Saturday nights it's slammed packed. Very cool spot on Beale.
This is one of the many dogs that hang out on the carriages that are offered on Beale Street. I was talking with the owner about how pretty he was and sirens started to go off in the background.
He started a long nice howl and I just had to snap some photos of him. I thought it was a wonderful capture!
