20/365 These gates of unknown I shall enter

These gates are another fascination of mine. I have always wondered what they are all about. They are located in Sugar Grove Cemetery in Wilmington, Ohio.

This shot and title have much meaning. Yesterday I lost my job after working there for 12 years. I started when I was 18. Rough and challenging times.....

UPDATE:
After some research this was called the 'Public Vault" by the owners and originators of Sugar Grove Cemetery. It was built in 1912 and was used as what would be referred to as a "makeshift" morgue in the early days where everything was hand dug. The bodies were stored in this vault until the ground could thaw and then they received a proper burial. I was told it has not been used since the early 50's.
